Adam Montgomery was born on the 18th of July, 2002 (age 22), in Scotland. He is a defender who predominantly plays as a left back for Celtic. Montgomery stands at 5ft 8in (1.73m) tall and weighs 9st 6lb (60kg).
Montgomery first joined Celtic in the Scottish Premiership as a trainee in July 2009. His first team debut in league matches came in the 2020-2021 season, during which he made two appearances. Montgomery then extended his relevance in the following season (2021 - 2022), playing eight further league matches. As at the present season (2024 - 2025), Montgomery has not yet made any further appearances for Celtic.
Montgomery's first experience away from Celtic came in January 2022, when he was transferred on loan to Aberdeen, another Scottish Premiership team. In that season, he participated in seven league matches for Aberdeen. He then returned to Celtic at the completion of his loan spell in June 2022.
In July 2022, Montgomery was again dispatched on loan, this time securing a stint with St Johnstone where he made significant progress, featuring in 28 league matches for the 2022 - 2023 season. However, by June 2023, he had returned to Celtic.
Montgomery, further diversifying his footballing experiences, moved to Fleetwood Town in England's League Two on loan in July 2023. His loan there ended in January 2024, following which he returned to Celtic, his home team.
The remainder of the 2023-2024 season saw Montgomery undertake an additional domestic loan spell, this time with Motherwell before returning once again to Celtic after a month.
As of this current season (2024 - 2025), he has been playing for Queen's Park in the Scottish Championship, having been transferred there on loan in February 2025. He has made 12 appearances and scored once in this current tenure.
