Anthony Ralston, born on the 16th of November 1998 in Scotland, is a stalwart of Celtic Football Club. A defender by trade, he typically plies his right-back position, though he's no stranger to the centre of the back line. Standing at 5 feet 11 inches (1.82m) and tipping the scales at 12 stones 3 pounds (78kg), Ralston dons the number 56 jersey for the green and white Hoops. While his club duties keep him constantly busy, he's also been called upon to represent Scotland on the international stage.
According to Transfermarkt, Ralston is estimated to have a current market value in the region of £1.3 million. His contract with Celtic has just over two years remaining, with the current expiry date set as the 31st of May 2027.
Ralston's journey has seen him step away from Celtic, but only on loan. In July 2015, he was transferred to Queen's Park in Scotland's Championship division. Following ten first-team appearances and a solitary league goal, he returned to Celtic in January 2016. His record at Celtic, spread across several seasons, includes a total of 89 first team appearances and seven league goals, and remains a regular fixture in the current 2024-2025 season.
Another wanderlust journey saw Ralston switch, albeit temporarily, to Dundee United in March 2018. He donned the Tangerines' colours on loan before returning to his Celtic roots in June 2018. St. Johnstone was his next temporary home in September 2019, where he played 22 league matches before returning to Celtic in June 2020.
Ralston's participation in various competitions has been instrumental in Celtic's success. These include the League Cup, the Scottish Cup, as well as the infamous European Champions League. His contributions haven't been limited to club football - representing Scotland in the European Championships and the Nations League have been notable highlights of his career.
