Born on August 26, 1998, defender Auston Trusty claims the United States as his homeland. He currently plays as a centre-back for none other than Celtic Football Club, an ensemble where he proudly wears the jersey bearing the number 6. Trusty towers over most with his striking height of 6ft 3in (1.91m) and tips the scales at 12st 1lb (77kg). His footballing skills have also attracted the attention of the United States national team.

Trusty's journey in professional football stemmed from his admission to the youth system of the Philadelphia Union in the MLS, USA in January 2016. Shortly after, season 2018 marked his debut with Trusty proving his worth with 34 first team outings and a goal. The following season saw him maintain his momentum with 22 first team appearances and an identical goal haul to the previous season.
Prior to his move to Celtic, Trusty faced a series of transfers which saw him move across clubs in the USA and England. His first significant transfer took place in November 2019 when he left Philadelphia Union to join fellow MLS team Colorado Rapids, for a fee that remained undisclosed. He produced impressive performances at the Rapids, with especially notable seasons in 2020 and 2021 where he made 33 first team appearances and scored a goal. He was transferred to Arsenal in the English Premier League in January 2022 for £1.6m.
His tenure at Arsenal was short-lived as he was loaned back to Colorado Rapids in February 2022 before moving to Birmingham City in England's League One on loan. August 2023 signalled another transfer for Trusty, this time to Sheffield United in the English Championship for a fee of around £5m. His stint at Sheffield United lasted until August 2024, during which he made an impressive 32 first team appearances.
Trusty's talents were next spotted by Scottish giants Celtic, which led to a transfer in August 2024, for a sum of £6m. In the current 2024-2025 season at Celtic, Trusty has taken the field 21 times and found the back of the net once.
His contributions to Celtic extend beyond the Scottish Premiership, as he also made his mark in the League Cup 2024 - 2025 with three starts, the Scottish Cup 2024 - 2025 with two starts, and the Champions League 2024 - 2025 with nine starts and one appearance as a substitute.
