Benjamin Siegrist, born in Therwil on 31 January 1992 (age 34), is a Swiss goalkeeper with a commanding 6ft 5in (1.96m) frame. His career took him through the English game early on, including a 2013-14 spell at Cambridge United, where he made three league appearances.
The club that gave his career its clearest shape was Dundee United. Siegrist made 66 league appearances across two seasons there, becoming an established senior goalkeeper rather than another well-travelled prospect moving between short stops.
Celtic signed him from Dundee United in July 2022. His time in Glasgow brought the medals: one Premiership title, one Scottish Cup and one League Cup, all part of a successful period for the club, even if Siegrist’s own place in the story was a supporting one rather than central.
