Callum Wilson, born on 27 February 1992 (age 34), is an English striker now with West Ham United, where he wears the number 9 shirt. His market value is around £4.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
Wilson’s senior career began at Coventry City, and the early loan spells in that period mattered. They gave him the rougher minutes young strikers tend to need, away from the tidier promises of academy football. By 2013–14, he had turned that grounding into proper production, scoring 21 league goals in 37 appearances for Coventry.
That season remains his most productive league campaign, and it set the shape of what followed: a forward judged less by polish than by whether he could keep finding chances and finishing enough of them. He has since built a long top-flight career on that basis, with the usual wear and tear that comes with playing through the middle in England.
At West Ham in 2025–26, Wilson has remained a regular first-team presence rather than a decorative squad option. He has made 35 appearances in all competitions and scored seven goals, including seven in 32 Premier League appearances, with further outings in the FA Cup and League Cup.
Wilson’s career has run from Coventry development and loan football to established Premier League striker. At West Ham, he is still being used regularly, which says enough about his continuing value without needing to dress it up.
