Christian Borchgrevink, born on 11 May 1999 (age 27), is a Norwegian right-back now with Hearts, where he wears the number two shirt.
His career has been shaped far more by Valerenga than by anywhere else. After early loan spells gave him room to develop away from the main stage, he settled back in Oslo and became a regular part of the side over a long stretch.
Across seven seasons with Valerenga, Borchgrevink made 83 league appearances and scored six league goals. His most productive campaign came in 2021, when he scored three times in 24 league games – solid enough output for a full-back without pretending it was anything more dramatic.
At Hearts in 2025-26, he has made five league appearances and one Champions League qualifying appearance, taking him to six appearances in all competitions for the club. His current market value is around £383,000, according to Transfermarkt.
Borchgrevink’s career so far is that of a Norwegian right-back developed through loans, established over several seasons at Valerenga, and now trying to build a place for himself at Hearts.
