Daniel Finlayson, resting his birthdate on the 19th of January, 2001, is a bonny lad cast in the robust mould of a defender fpr Livingston, with the facility to ply his trade as a right back. A distinct presence amongst his fellow tartan-bred compatriots, the youth stands tall at 1.91m (6ft 3in) and carries his weight of 84 kg (13st 3lb) with aplomb. He dons the number 19 on his back for Livingston, a serendipitous nod to the numeric mirror of his birth date perhaps.
In the infant stages of his career, season 2020-2021 at St Mirren witnessed our subject make his first tentative steps in the realm of professional football with three first team appearances. A footnote perhaps in the annals of the club's history books but monumental nonetheless for the sprightly Finlayson.
His sojourn in the land of St Mirren was soon swapped for the pastures of Linfield across the water in Northern Ireland. The season of 2022-2023 bore witness to Finlayson gathering momentum, notching up an impressive 34 first team appearances and netting his maiden goal. In the subsequent season, he once again propagated his worth with an equal measure of appearances, this time embellishing his tally with three goals.
Scottish shores once again beckoned for Finlayson in the season of 2024-2025, this time finding refuge with Livingston. Matching his previous season's count, he made 34 first team appearances. The current season of 2025-2026, while still in its infancy, has seen him don the Livingston colours once for a first team appearance.
The lad has also tasted cup football with his current club. The League Cup for the year 2025-2026 saw Finlayson proving his merit on four occasions from the start, and the Scottish Cup of the year previous granted him two starts and an appearance off the subs' bench. The Premier Playoffs punctuating the said season also were privy to his prowess, with Finlayson starting once and supplementing the side's efforts from the substitutes on three additional occasions.
