Dylan Smith, born on 21 January 2006 (age 20), is a Scottish central defender whose senior football has been built almost entirely at Ross County. An imposing 6ft 3in (1.90m), he has been around the first-team picture in Dingwall for several seasons, which is a fair bit of exposure for a defender still at an early stage.
Across five league seasons with Ross County, Smith has made 47 league appearances. His busiest league campaign came in 2022-23, when he played 13 times, giving him a useful platform at an age when many centre-halves are still being kept out of harm’s way.
In 2025-26, his involvement has come in the cups, with three League Cup appearances and one in the Scottish Cup. His career to this point is a Ross County one: steady development, mostly in Dingwall, with the next step depending on whether he can turn those appearances into a more regular place.
