Dylan Tait, a Scottish midfielder born on 1 December 2001, currently plays his football at Falkirk where he holds the number 21 jersey. Now aged 23, Tait operates primarily as a central midfielder and with a height of 5ft 9in (1.76m) and a weight of 11st (70kg), he possesses a sturdy physique for the competitive game.
As per Transfermarkt information, Tait's market value stands around €175k (source) which converts to roughly £150k. His contract with Falkirk is due to mark its expiration on 31 May 2026, with approximately 10 months remaining at the time of this reporting.
The journeyman's career thus far has seen him grace various clubs in the Scottish football scene. Originally signed by Raith Rovers of the Championship in January 2019, Tait moved on to top flight football with a transfer to Hibernian in August 2021. His time at Hibs, however, was punctuated by several loan spells; initially returning to Raith Rovers a month later before subsequently heading to Kilmarnock, Arbroath, and Hamilton Academical over the next two years.
While his impact fluctuated during these loans, his period with Arbroath in the 2022-2023 season deserves highlighting. Tait made a respectable 20 appearances for Arbroath in the league during his debut season at the Championship club.
Finally, in January 2024, Tait found what appears to be a more permanent home with Falkirk after they captured his signature on loan from Hibernian. This move would later become permanent in July the same year for an undisclosed fee. His first season at Falkirk, the 2024-2025 campaign, saw Tait make 33 league appearances, contributing two goals. Presently, for the 2025-2026 season, Tait has already made two appearances and scored one goal.
Not to be overlooked is his contribution to Falkirk in cup competitions. In the 2025-2026 season, Tait was particularly impressive in the League Cup, netting four goals from a mere three starts and one game as a substitute. He also featured in the Scottish Cup during the 2024-2025 season.
