Ewan Otoo, born on 30 August 2002 (age 23), is a Scottish central defender whose senior career has been shaped far more by Dunfermline Athletic than by his early time at Celtic.
He came through at Celtic, but his route into first-team football was always likely to need minutes elsewhere. Those early loan steps gave him the practical part of his education, away from the cleaner promise of academy football and into games that actually count.
Otoo left Celtic for Dunfermline Athletic in July 2023, and that move has become the main line of his career. Across four seasons with the Pars, he has made 79 league appearances and scored five league goals, establishing himself as a regular rather than a passing squad name.
His most productive league season came in 2024–25, when he scored three goals in 36 appearances. In 2025–26, he has made 10 league appearances without scoring, alongside four League Cup outings, taking him to 14 appearances in all competitions for Dunfermline that season.
Otoo remains a developing professional, but his career is already clearly centred on Dunfermline: a Celtic departure who found his senior footing at East End Park.
