Gustaf Nilsson, born on 23 May 1997 (age 29), is a Swedish striker with Club Brugge. An imposing 6ft 6in (1.97m) forward, he wears squad number 19 and is valued at around £6m by Transfermarkt.
His most productive league season came with Wehen Wiesbaden in 2021-22, when he scored 14 goals in 30 appearances. That remains the clearest marker of his finishing output at club level, rather than any need to dress him up as something more exotic than a big centre-forward who has had one properly strong scoring campaign.
At Club Brugge in 2025-26, Nilsson has made 15 appearances across all competitions, including five in the league, further Pro League play-off involvement and one Champions League outing. He has also represented Sweden this season, making one World Cup appearance.
Nilsson’s career to date has taken him from Swedish international football into spells on the continent, with Wehen Wiesbaden providing his best scoring return and Club Brugge his current stage. He is an established professional, but still one whose profile is built more on usefulness and physical presence than on grand claims.
