Haissem Hassan, born on 8 February 2002 (age 24), is an Egyptian right winger who joined Celtic from Real Oviedo in August 2026. Celtic paid around £6m for him, shortly after he had been linked with a move in July 2026.
His most productive league season came at Real Oviedo in 2024-25, when he scored four goals in 39 appearances. That was the spell which gave Celtic enough evidence to move, although the fee suggests they were paying as much for development as for a finished article.
At Celtic, Hassan wears number 23 and has made nine appearances across all competitions in 2026-27: five in the league, two in the League Cup, one in Champions League qualifying and one in the Europa League. His market value is around £3m, according to Transfermarkt.
He has also represented Egypt this season, making two World Cup appearances. His career so far runs from Real Oviedo to Celtic, with his next step depending on how quickly he turns promise and minutes into regular influence.
