Hugo Álvarez, born on 2 July 2003 (age 23), is a Spanish right winger whose senior career has been shaped almost entirely at Celta Vigo. Wearing the number 23 shirt, he has become part of their first-team picture over a sustained run rather than through a brief cameo.
Across five league seasons with Celta, Álvarez has made 72 league appearances and scored nine goals. His strongest return came in 2024-2025, when he scored four times in 26 league matches, a decent enough marker for a wide player still building his place at senior level.
In 2026-2027, he has remained involved for Celta, with five LaLiga appearances, two in the Copa del Rey and one in the Europa League. His career to this point is a Celta Vigo career in all but name: steady involvement, gradual responsibility, and still more development ahead.
