Joe Newell was born on the 15 March 1993 in England. Now 32, the English midfielder primarily plays in the heart of midfield for Hibernian. Striking an average height as a footballer, Newell stands at 5ft 10in (1.8 metres) and weighs in at 11st 2lb (71 kg). The moderate-sized midfielder can be seen sporting the number 11 jersey while on the field.
In the winter of January 2011, Newell joined Peterborough United in League One in England. Newell's debut season at Peterborough United (2010 - 2011) had him appear in two league matches. By the 2012 - 2013 season, Newell was a regular fixture in Peterborough United's line-up with 30 first team appearances. He maintained a regular starting role in the subsequent season (2021 - 2022), appearing 27 times in league matches. Newell played an even more integral role in the team in the 2022 - 2023 season, featuring in 34 league games with one goal to his name. In the following 2023 - 2024 season, Newell managed to register two goals from his 37 league appearances. In the current 2024 - 2025 season, he has already made 16 first team appearances and bagged two league goals for Hibernian.
