Born on 24 May 1997 in England, Jonah Ayunga, now aged 28, is an accomplished forward who primarily plays as a right winger for St Mirren. He stands 6ft (1.85m) tall and weighs in at 12st 3lb (78kg). You'll recognise him on the pitch donning the number 11 jersey.
Ayunga's career has seen him making various moves across the football chart. In January 2017, he was transferred on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion, a Premier League team in England, to Sligo Rovers in the Premier Division in the Republic of Ireland. In his debut season at Sligo Rovers, Ayunga made 21 first team appearances and scored four goals in league matches.
By July 2017, Ayunga switched shores and moved back to England from Brighton & Hove Albion, this time on loan to Sutton United in the National League. His stint at Havant & Waterlooville was short-lived, for by December 2018, Ayunga moved back to Sutton United in a transaction with the transfer fee not disclosed to the public.
The following year, in July 2019, Ayunga returned to Havant & Waterlooville. Yet again, he didn't stay put for long. By July 2020, he had transferred from Havant & Waterlooville to Bristol Rovers in League Two. Once more, the transfer fee remains undisclosed.
In July 2021, Ayunga set off, this time from Bristol Rovers to Morecambe in the National League, before eventually landing at St Mirren in the Premiership in Scotland in July 2022.
Since then, at St Mirren, Ayunga's performance has been seen in his scoring. In the 2022 - 2023 season, he made 19 first team appearances and scored three goals. The following 2023 - 2024 season saw him make 17 first team appearances and net two goals. In the 2024 - 2025 season, Ayunga made 28 appearances and scored four goals. Currently, in the ongoing 2025 - 2026 season, Ayunga has made 15 appearances and scored two goals.
