Josh Clarke, born on 28 July 2004 (age 21), is a Northern Irish goalkeeper whose senior career has been shaped far more by Partick Thistle than by the academy route that first took him to Celtic.
Clarke joined Celtic from Glenavon in August 2022, an early move across from Northern Ireland that put him into a bigger system without leading to a first-team breakthrough. His time in Glasgow was part of his development rather than the central chapter of his career.
He left Celtic for Partick Thistle in July 2026, and that spell has carried the weight of his senior football so far. Across one season at Firhill, he made 33 league appearances, giving him the regular exposure that had not come at Celtic.
There was also a brief league appearance for Airdrieonians in 2023-24, but Clarke’s career to this point is still plainly framed by the move from Celtic into regular football at Partick. He is a Northern Irish goalkeeper now associated with Doncaster Rovers, with his senior profile built on that Firhill run rather than on a long list of stops.
