An intriguing character, Josh Mulligan was birthed onto this Scottish soil in the year of 2002. Some would claim November 12. Self-proclaimed central midfielder for Hibernian, Mulligan stands at a humble 5ft 8in, that's 1.75m for those globally-minded individuals. He weighs himself in at 12st 1lb, or 77kg if you appreciate the metric system. None can ignore his penchant for the number 20 jersey. Not to mention his somewhat illustrious international career representing Scotland, much to the delight or despair of fellow Scots, depending on the day.
According to Transfermarkt, his market value hovers at an inflating sum of something in the region of £800,000.
Let's take a jaunt down memory lane, shall we? In those heady days of July 2017, a fresh-faced Mulligan trundled along to join Dundee in the Premiership in Scotland, as a trainee of all things. His debut season in 2018-2019 resulted in a solitary first team appearance. In season 2021 - 2022 our hero managed to scrape together 11 appearances, netting two goals. However, in the subsequent 2022 - 2023 season, despite making an impressive 31 first team appearances, he still only managed to score two goals.
In January 2020, Dundee and Mulligan briefly parted ways as he embarked on a loan venture to Cove Rangers in the League One in Scotland. Upon his return in June 2020, he continued his spirited but decidedly average performances, peppered with intermittent goal scores. Following a brief dalliance at Peterhead on loan, Mulligan was once again welcomed back into the not-so-embraceable arms of Dundee in June 2021. Yet another loan spell at Peterhead followed soon after until he was once again returned to sender at Dundee in January 2022.
Come July 2025, Hibernian seemingly saw something in this well-travelled midfielder, no doubt charm was a factor, and so he transferred from Dundee to Hibernian for an undisclosed fee. In the forthcoming season(2025-2026), Mulligan made 16 appearances and added only one notch to his goal tally for Hibernian. Joining Hibernian provided Mulligan the platform to compete in multiple competitions such as the League Cup, Europa League Qualifiers and Conference League Qualifiers, with performances that were just shy of mediocre.
