Junior Adamu, born on 6 June 2001 (age 25), is an Austrian striker whose senior career has already moved through a few different settings. His sharpest league return came early, with FC Liefering in 2019–20, when he scored 14 goals in 20 appearances.
After Freiburg, Celtic brought him in during February 2026. It was a short, practical addition rather than a signing wrapped in great theatre, but he was part of the Celtic squad that won the 2025/26 Premiership.
Adamu is now with Schalke 04. In 2026–27 he has made two league appearances for the club, and his form this season has been solid and consistent. He has also remained in Austria’s picture, making one Nations League appearance this season and scoring once.
His current market value is around £2.5m, according to Transfermarkt. So far, Adamu’s career has been that of a useful, still-developing striker: productive early on, briefly involved at Celtic, and now trying to establish himself at Schalke.
