The story of Kevin Nisbet, born 8 March 1997, is a tale of dedication, perseverance and football prowess. Nisbet, who nowadays can be seen fronting the offensive at Aberdeen FC, is a forward with a particular affinity for the striker's position. Of Scottish extraction, this 28 year-old has also proudly donned the blue of the Scotland national team. Nisbet impresses as much physically as he does professionally, standing at a solid 5 feet and 10 inches tall (1.8m) and tipping the scales at about 12 stone and a pound (77kg). He's fast become synonymous with the number 15 jersey, his proven signature. Nisbet's current market value is in the region of £1.7m, according to Transfermarkt.
Nisbet's journey in football can be traced back to July 2014 when the young forward took his first professional step with East Stirlingshire, a club in the Lowland League in Scotland. He made a promising first impression, netting six goals in eleven first team league appearances. He then transferred to Partick Thistle in the Scottish Championship league in the following year, July 2015. He wrote his name on the club's match sheet a total of seventeen times, spread across three inconsistent seasons.
In a noticeable deviation from his stay at Partick Thistle, Nisbet sought new pastures at Ayr United in August 2016 on a loan deal. Found participating in twenty league games during the 2016-2017 season, it was here that he bagged another two goals. He returned to Partick Thistle at the end of his loan in January 2017 but found game time somewhat hard to come by.
January 2018 found Nisbet at Dumbarton on loan, before a transfer in July 2018 took him to Raith Rovers. Six months later, he found himself being transferred again, this time to Dunfermline Athletic, only to be transferred again to Hibernian in July 2020 for the sum of approximately £250,000. At Hibernian, Nisbet began to find his rhythm. In three seasons, he registered 31 league goals in 78 appearances.
In July 2023, English side Millwall attracted Nisbet away from Hibernian, for a fee amounting to around £2m. Despite a promising start, the striker was soon to have his wings clipped with a limited number of first team appearances over three seasons. He was loaned to Aberdeen for the 2024-2025 season, where he excelled with 11 goals in 32 league appearances. Again backed by a strong performance at Aberdeen, Nisbet was transferred permanently to the club in September 2025. As of now, he's netted one goal in twelve first team league appearances for the current 2025-2026 season.
Nisbet has also made his mark in various tournaments. He made a start for Aberdeen in the League Cup 2025-2026, secured a substitute appearance for Scotland in the Euro Qualifiers 2022-2024, and featured in Aberdeen's Conference League 2025-2026 journey, where he scored a goal during his three appearances.
