Born on the 24th of August, 2000, Lewis Miller is an Australian-born defender who makes his bread and butter safeguarding Hibernian's right flank. Towering at 6 foot 1 inch (1.87m), and carrying an athletic weight of 13 stone (83kg), Miller is a formidable presence on the pitch, often seen donned in his favoured number 2 jersey. Besides club football, Miller has also added an international flair to his career by representing the Australian national team.
Miller's professional journey began in Australia's A-League with Central Coast Mariners, a club he joined in July 2017. As a fledgling player, he made only two first-team league appearances in his debut season (2018 - 2019). However, the following seasons marked an upward trajectory in his career, as he featured 17, 12, and 21 times for the club in respective league matches across the 2019-2022 seasons - even scoring his first professional goal in the 2021-2022 season.
July of 2022 marked a milestone in Miller's career as he made an internal transfer within the A-League - moving from Central Coast Mariners to Macarthur FC. His stint with Macarthur FC was short-lived, as a lucrative ticket to Scottish Premiership side Hibernian came calling just weeks later. With the exact transfer fee shrouded in secrecy, Miller bade his homeland goodbye, setting his sights on conquering the Scottish football scene.
Since joining Hibernian in the 2022-2023 season, Miller has become a mainstay in the club's stolid defence, making 12, 21 and 31 first-team league appearances over each of the consecutive seasons. He has also added some attacking impetus to his game, netting three goals for Hibernian over the same period.
Not limited to league football, Miller also figured prominently in Hibernian's 2024-2025 League Cup and Scottish Cup campaigns, scoring two goals across five starts. On an international level, he played a role in Australia's 2024-2026 World Cup Qualifiers, making seven starts and one substitute appearance, impressively notching up two goals in the process.
