Born on 15 November 2002, in Poland, Maksymilian Boruc is a young goalkeeper who has shown promising flits of talent throughout his still blossoming career. He stands tall at 6ft 4in (1.94m) and weighs in at a lean 11st 4lb (72 kg). Number 25 notably adorns his Hibernian jersey.
Maksymilian's move from West Bromwich Albion in the English Championship to Poland's top-flight, Ekstraklasa, with Slask Wroclaw in July 2021 marked the start of notable progression in his career.
His stay in Poland was a brief one, as he made a return to the British Isles with Hibernian, nestled in the heart of the Scottish Premiership, in July 2023. Despite a stint in the first team of Hibs with a mere two outfields appearances in the league during the 2023-2024 season, he has yet to grace the pitch in the running season of 2024-2025.
For further experience, Boruc was loaned out to the Scottish League One outfit, Arbroath in January 2024. It was during his time here that he enjoyed a larger piece of the action, managing 13 outings in the league.
Upon completion of his loan spell, Maksymilian returned to Hibernian in June 2024, to again struggle for first-team playing time during the 2024-2025 season. Whilst his performance at Hibernian may not stand out, his considerable frame and agile shot-stopping skills are testament to why Hibernian keep their faith in this young talent.
