Martin Boyle, born on 25 April 1993 (age 33), is an Australia international best known as a right winger for Hibernian. Wearing the number 10 shirt, he has been a long-running part of the Easter Road side rather than a passing name on the teamsheet.
His early senior football included a productive spell at Montrose, where the 2011–12 season gave him a proper platform. He scored 22 league goals in 36 appearances there, still the most productive league campaign of his career.
Boyle’s career has been shaped far more by Hibs than by anywhere else. Across 12 seasons he has made 319 league appearances and scored 83 league goals for the club, a level of service that tells its own story without needing much embroidery.
He remained a regular first-team presence in 2025–26, making 36 league appearances and scoring eight league goals. Across all competitions for Hibernian that season, he reached 45 appearances and 11 goals, including three in Conference League qualifying. He also stayed involved with Australia, scoring twice in seven World Cup qualifying appearances in Asia.
Boyle’s career is that of a durable, productive wide player whose best years have been spent at Hibernian. The early Montrose spell helped push him on, but Easter Road is where the bulk of the work has been done.
