The following season, lasting between 2022 - 2023, saw him make 25 appearances for Blackpool and score one goal.
Ekpiteta's strong performances caught Scottish eyes, and in July 2024, he was signed by the Scottish Premiership side, Hibernian. His ongoing stint at Hibernian has seen him make 13 appearances in league matches for the 2024 - 2025 season. He also stamped his authority in the League Cup of that year, scoring a goal in his four starts.
