Matty Todd (born 14 June 2001, age 24) is a Scottish centre midfielder whose senior career has been shaped almost entirely at Dunfermline Athletic. He wears the number 10 and has become a familiar part of their midfield rather than a passing squad name.
Early loan football gave him the usual rough edges of senior experience, but Dunfermline is where his career has properly taken hold. Across four league seasons with the Pars, he has made 97 league appearances and scored 17 goals, with his best return coming in 2022-2023, when he scored eight times in 27 league matches.
He remained a regular first-team presence in 2025-2026, making 38 appearances in all competitions and scoring three goals. His Championship campaign brought 28 appearances and two goals, with further minutes in the League Cup, Scottish Cup and Premiership play-offs. His form has been solid and consistent, which is no bad thing in a side asking him to keep turning up in the middle of the park.
Todd’s career to this point is straightforward: a Dunfermline-developed midfielder, shaped by early loan experience, now established as a regular senior player at the club where he has done most of his meaningful work.
