Maxence Caqueret, born on 15 February 2000 (age 26), is a French central defensive midfielder now with Como. He wears the No 8 shirt and has been valued at around £13.5m by Transfermarkt.
His career is still defined, overwhelmingly, by Lyon. Across six league seasons there, Caqueret made 147 league appearances and scored five goals, becoming a regular part of the side rather than a passing graduate or squad filler. His most productive league campaign came in 2022–23, when he scored four times in 36 appearances.
Como is the next stage rather than the headline act so far. In 2026–27, Caqueret has made four Serie A appearances, with his Lyon spell remaining the clear body of work in his senior career.
