Neil El Aynaoui, born on 2 July 2001 (age 25), is a Morocco international midfielder now with RB Leipzig, where he wears number 21. Primarily a central midfielder, he is valued at around £17m by Transfermarkt.
His strongest league return so far came at Lens in 2024-25, when he scored eight goals in 24 appearances. That was the season that gave a bit more substance to his profile: not just tidy midfield work, but a proper contribution in the final third.
In 2026-27 he made one league appearance for Roma before recording three for RB Leipzig, remaining a first-team presence rather than drifting to the edge of the squad. He has also been involved with Morocco this season, making six World Cup appearances and three in African World Cup qualifying.
El Aynaoui’s career is still taking shape, but the outline is clear enough: a productive spell at Lens, a brief Roma chapter, and a current role at RB Leipzig, alongside regular international involvement with Morocco.
