Nicolas Seiwald, born on 4 May 2001 (age 25), is an Austrian central midfielder with RB Leipzig, where he wears the number 13 shirt. His current market value is around £13.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
His senior career began to gather shape at FC Liefering, where the 2019-20 league season remains his most productive in front of goal: three goals in 23 appearances. That is not a startling return, but it does point to the type of midfielder he has generally been – involved, tidy, and more concerned with the structure of the side than padding his own totals.
At RB Leipzig, Seiwald has continued as a centre-midfield option rather than a headline act. In 2026-27 he has made three Bundesliga appearances and one in the Champions League, four in all for the club across competitions.
He has also been involved with Austria, with four World Cup appearances, eight in European World Cup qualifying and two in the Nations League. His career to date is that of a well-established Austrian midfielder, developed through Liefering and now operating at Bundesliga and international level.
