Nicolò Cambiaghi

In the 2026-27 Serie A campaign Cambiaghi has made five appearances – all starts – and received one yellow card; he has zero goals in league play so far, a combination that suggests Bologna view him as a starting wide option whose attacking output has yet to be reflected in the scoresheet across the early rounds.

Cambiaghi is 25, Italian and plays as a left wing for Bologna. He progressed through Atalanta's system as a trainee in July 2016 and spent successive development loans at Reggiana (August 2020), Pordenone (July 2021) and Empoli (August 2022) before moving permanently – a trajectory that reflects a youth prospect developed via loan experience into a player attracting a mid-market permanent transfer.

Cambiaghi moved from Atalanta to Bologna for €8.6m in July 2024; earlier moves were loan spells from Atalanta to Reggiana (August 2020), Pordenone (July 2021) and Empoli (August 2022), and his initial entry to Atalanta came as a trainee in July 2016 – the pattern charts progression from academy prospect through staged loan development to a fee-funded step up.
