Oliver Sørensen was born on 10 March 2002 (age 24) and is a Danish central midfielder whose career, to this point, has been shaped far more by FC Midtjylland than anywhere else.
His early loan spells gave him the necessary senior mileage without becoming the story themselves. Midtjylland did. Across five seasons there he made 91 league appearances and scored 15 league goals, with his most productive campaign coming in 2024-25, when he scored nine times in 28 league games.
He was linked with Celtic in August 2026, and joined the club from Parma in September 2026. Since arriving, he has made three league appearances and one in the Europa League, with eight Celtic appearances and one goal in all competitions. He has also played in UEFA Under-21 qualifying for Denmark, scoring once in four appearances.
His current market value is around £5.5m, according to Transfermarkt. Sørensen’s career remains a developing one, but its main body is clear enough: early loans, a substantial Midtjylland spell, a short Parma stop, and then Celtic.
