Ousmane Diao, born on 8 June 2004 (age 22), is a Senegalese central defender with FC Midtjylland. He wears the number 4 shirt and is valued at around £6.5m, according to Transfermarkt.
His most productive league season came in 2024–25, when he scored four goals in 25 appearances for Midtjylland. For a defender, that is useful output without needing dressed up as something more dramatic.
Diao’s career remains in its earlier stages, but he has already established himself as a first-team centre-back in Denmark. The outline is straightforward: a young Senegalese defender building senior experience at Midtjylland, with a decent goal return in his best league campaign so far.
