Japan-born midfielder Reo Hatate, born on 21 November 1997, is a player with Celtic Football Club, wearing the number 41 jersey. Standing at 5ft 7in (1.71m) and weighing 11st (70kg), Hatate utilises his physical prowess mainly in a central midfield position. Alongside representing Celtic, Hatate has earned the honour of representing the national team of Japan.

Prior to his Celtic journey, Hatate was a key figure at Kawasaki Frontale in Japan's J1 League. Joining Kawasaki Frontale in August 2018, his debut season in 2019 saw him playing in just a solitary league match. However, his performances improved notably during the 2020 season with Hatate making 31 appearances and netting five goals. The 2021 season maintained a similar rhythm with 30 appearances and five goals.
