Meet Ross Graham, a laddy born in the breezy corner of Scotland on 20 February 2001, which puts him at the ripe old age of 24. He's busy kicking balls about as a defender for Dundee United, dressed to impress in his number 6 jersey. Standing at an imposing 6ft 4in (1.94m) and weighing in at 12st 12lb (82kg), he's a formidable sight on the field.
Now according to Transfermarkt, if you were to put a price on the lad's head it'd come to about £500k, which, given the current state of football, seems a pittance. His contract with Dundee United is planning its grand farewell in about a year and a month, all set to run off into the sunset on the 31st of May, 2026.
He's been a Dundee lad through and through, pitching up as a trainee in July 2017. From 2021-2022, Graham graced the pitch 15 times, impressing the crowd with two goals. His following seasons were similar, always popping up in those 15 appearances, though the 2023-2024 stint saw him net a singular goal. This season, 2024-2025, he's managed 15 appearances with four goals to his credit.
In typical footballer fashion, Graham has had a brief stint sauntering around Scotland on loan. An initial brief spell at Elgin City in January 2020, and then a return to his home turf at Dundee in June 2020.
Finding he missed the travels, he moved to Cove Rangers in October 2020, returning, like a proper Homing pigeon, to Dundee United in January 2021.
Not to break tradition, he traipsed once again to Cove Rangers in March 2021, returning to Dundee United in June.
In addition to his domestic duties, Graham spent July 2021 at Dunfermline Athletic, another Championship team on his well-stamped loan card, only to return again to Dundee United in January 2022. The lad practises the "try before you buy" philosophy to the T.
Though, while in Dundee, he doesn't completely hide away. Graham has been known to dip his toes in the water of the League Cup, netting a goal in six starts during the 2024-2025 season. He also dabbled in the Scottish Cup during the same year, clocking up a single start.
