Ross MacIver, a Scot born on 28 February 1998, is a 27-year-old forward who currently serves as a robust striker for Falkirk, donning the revered number 9 jersey. Standing tall at 6ft (1.84m) and carrying the weight of 11st 11lb (almost 75kg), he brings a solid presence to the field.
The footballer's contract with Falkirk is set to run until 31 May 2027, offering him the security of 1 year and 10 months left with the club at the time of writing.
MacIver's professional football journey saw its start when he joined Ross County in July 2017. Six months later in January 2018, MacIver was transferred to Forfar Athletic on loan.
Upon the completion of his loan stint with Forfar, he was recalled back to Ross County in June 2018. However, he was on the move again in February 2019, this time loaned out to Elgin City.
August 2019 marked the start of MacIver's tenure with Motherwell, a Premier League team at the time. Beyond his domestic league efforts, his debut season at Motherwell in the 2019-2020 season saw him making seven appearances on the first team and even notching up a goal. The following season saw one appearance by MacIver.
By September 2020, he found himself playing for Greenock Morton on loan. With the completion of this loan in January 2021, he returned to Motherwell. His second spell at Motherwell echoed the stats of his first, with one goal from seven games in the 2019-2020 season and one appearance in the 2020-2021 season.
March 2021 saw his loan transfer to Partick Thistle which turned into a permanent move in July of the same year. His time with Partick was brief and by February 2022, MacIver was loaned to Alloa Athletic. His debut season with Alloa Athletic during 2022-2023 witnessed MacIver making 28 first team appearances and netting five goals. His performance convinced the team to sign him permanently in July 2022.
Finally, in July 2023, Falkirk, home to MacIver currently, came calling. So far, his time with Falkirk has seen 20 first team appearances and three goals in the 2024-2025 season. In the ongoing 2025-2026 season, MacIver has already taken to the field twice and scored one goal. It's also worth noting that he's shown his mettle in other tournaments with Falkirk, such as scoring one goal from four appearances in the League Cup 2025-2026 and making a start in the Scottish Cup 2024-2025.
