Sebastian Tounekti was born on the 13th of July, 2002 in the picturesque land of Norway. Currently aged 23, Tounekti graces the field as a forward, mainly in the position of a left winger for our treasured Celtic Football Club. A not so imposing figure, he stands at 5ft 7in (1.71m), and tips the scales at 10st 3lb (65kg). The number 23 jersey is what you'll find him sporting during matches. In his three-season tenure at Haugesund, spanning from 2022 to 2024, he made substantial appearances and scored goals, particularly notable was the 2024 season with 29 first-team appearances and four goals.
His next transfer was to Hammarby IF in the Allsvenskan in Sweden in February 2025 for a disclosed fee of around £1m. Currently, in the 2025 season at Hammarby, he has made 21 first team appearances and scored two goals.
At last, in September 2025, Tounekti made his much-anticipated move to our beloved Celtic in the Scottish Premiership. Although the transfer fee remains a secret, it's undeniable that Tounekti is already making his mark in his first season with 11 first-team appearances and a goal to his name.
As a testament to his versatile skills, he has participated in the League Cup 2025 - 2026 for Celtic, scoring one goal in two starts.
