Tom Lang, born in England on the 12th of January 1997, stands as a stalwart central defender for Falkirk. A physical force on the pitch, Lang brings an imposing presence with his 6ft frame (1.85m) and weighing in at 12st 8lb (80kg). Fans of Falkirk recognise him from the number 4 printed across the back of his jersey.
As of today, Lang's contract with Falkirk is set to expire on May 31st, 2025, a mere three months away. It was in January 2017 when Lang first introduced himself to Scotland, joining Dumbarton in League Two. Fans warmly remember his debut season of 2016 - 2017, during which Lang graced the pitch in six league matches.
By July 2017, Lang had made his way from Dumbarton to Stranraer, a fellow team in Scottish League Two. His tenure there saw him don the Stranraer jersey in three separate league matches during the 2017 - 2018 season.
As of January 2018, Lang moved on from Stranraer and set up camp with Clyde, again in Scottish League Two. The transfer fee remains undisclosed. That season, he continued his steady pace on the pitch, appearing in four league matches.
Lang took a step forward in his career when he transferred to the Scottish Championship team, Dunfermline Athletic, in July 2019. He didn't stay there long, however. Come January 2020, Lang found himself back with his old compatriots at Clyde, albeit this time on loan. During both of his stints with Clyde, the central defender played four first team league matches each.
By October 2020, Lang had cemented his return, transferring permanently from Dunfermline Athletic to Clyde. Picking up exactly where he left off, he made four first appearance in league matches that season.
Continuing the trend of upward mobility, July 2021 saw Lang ascend to the Scottish Championship team Raith Rovers. The 2022 - 2023 season was particularly fruitful for Lang, making 14 first appearances and even netting a goal in league matches.
Lang's most recent move, in July 2023, brought him to Falkirk, competing in the grand stage of Scotland's Premiership. The central defender shone brightly, being selected 11 times and even claiming a goal to his name in the 2024 - 2025 season. In contrast, he currently hasn't appeared in a first team league match for the ongoing 2025 - 2026 season.
