Alyaksandr Martynovich, born on 26 August 1987 (age 38), is a Belarusian centre-back now with Kairat. A towering 6ft 4in (1.93m) defender, he built his career on durability rather than fuss, with early loan spells giving him the senior football needed before his long run at Krasnodar.
Krasnodar is where his career took its proper shape. Across 10 seasons he made 197 league appearances and scored five league goals, becoming a regular defensive presence rather than a passing stop on someone elseโs squad list. That kind of spell tends to say enough on its own.
He later had a useful season at Rubin Kazan in 2023-24, scoring three league goals in 20 appearances, his most productive league campaign in front of goal. For a centre-back, that is a decent return without requiring anyone to get carried away.
At Kairat in 2026, Martynovich has not made a league appearance, but he has played eight times in Champions League qualifying and five times in the Champions League, making 13 appearances in all competitions without scoring. He has also remained involved with Belarus, making two European World Cup qualifying appearances this season.
His career is best understood as a long Krasnodar spell, framed by development elsewhere and later moves to Rubin Kazan and Kairat. It has been a steady, experienced centre-backโs career, with Krasnodar clearly the main chapter.
