Daniel Arzani, born on 4 January 1999 (age 27) in Khorramabad, Iran, is an Australia international winger now with Ferencvaros. A compact wide player at 5ft 7in (1.71m), he is primarily used on the right and wears number 14.
His Celtic link came in August 2018, when he joined from Manchester City. He was part of Celtic squads that won two Premiership titles, in 2018/2019 and 2019/2020, though his time in Glasgow never really became the sustained breakthrough that had been anticipated.
Arzani later rebuilt some momentum in Australia. His most productive league season came with Melbourne Victory in 2023/2024, when he scored four goals in 27 appearances, a useful return rather than anything needing dressed up beyond that.
At Ferencvaros in 2026/2027, he has made seven appearances across all competitions, including four in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, two in Europa League qualifying and one in the Europa League, where he scored. His current market value is around £340,000, according to Transfermarkt.
Arzani’s career has taken him from Manchester City to Celtic, back to Australia, and on to Hungary. It is a tidy enough route for a winger still trying to turn promise into a settled senior career.
