LASK are an established Austrian club, founded in 1908 and now based at the Raiffeisen Arena. They are a side Celtic supporters can place without much fuss: not a novelty, not a superpower, but a club with enough structure and form to merit proper attention.
Their 2026-27 season has opened strongly. LASK sit first in the Bundesliga, with a recent league run of five wins and a draw, including victories over Red Bull Salzburg, Rapid Vienna and Austria Vienna. They also reached the second round of the ÖFB Cup and the play-offs of Champions League qualifying.
At home, the pattern has been especially clear: goals coming freely and very little given away. Christoph Lang has led the scoring with five goals, supported by Samuel Adeniran on three, while Andrés Andrade and Kryštof Daněk have also contributed. LASK have also struck first inside 20 minutes in eight of their 19 league matches, which points to a side comfortable setting the terms early.
The squad is relatively young, with 27 players and an average age of 24. LASK’s current standing is straightforward: they are top in Austria, in form, and relevant to Celtic supporters as a well-organised opponent with momentum rather than reputation alone.
